These art competitions are open to all artists, with no limitations in terms of origins and place of residence.. so what are you waiting for?

Let's discover what's in store for you!

Food for Thought - Art Contest

Marylan Federation of Art allows artists, both members and non-members, to participate in open juried exhibitions curated by art professionals with credentials that directly correspond to the exhibition.

From farm to table, from fields and gardens, from land and sea – food sustains our bodies as art sustains our souls. For each person, food has a story and a history. Food can help define our community and sometimes our community needs help being fed. We work as a community to feed our neighbors. A portion of the proceeds from this show go to support the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. Show us how food has shaped your story through art. Entry is open to all artists residing internationally. All original 2D or 3D artwork in any media is eligible for this online show. Works selected by the juror will be on display in MFA’s online gallery, Curve Gallery, from October 15 – November 30, 2022. Exhibition Chairs: Richard Niewerth and Wil Scott.

Deadline: September 7, 2022

“ALL Figurative / Portrait” Online Art Competition

Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience and/or education in the art field or where they may reside.  This is an international competition and everyone is encouraged to participate. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at the Contemporary Art Gallery Online for thirty days immediately following the close of the competition.

Artists should submit their best representational and non-representational art related to the "Figurative / Portrait" theme. The “Figurative / Portrait” theme is considered to be any art which depicts either actual rendering of a person's face or figure or the depiction of a to be figure, form and/or face.  Here is the link to last years exhibition, so as to better demonstrate this month's theme.

This competition will be judged within three categories; Paintings, Photography and Mixed Media and 3D Work.  Awards will be given for the top 5 to 8 works selected, (this will depend on the number submissions in each category).  In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of all submissions received, additional awards will also be presented.

Deadline: September 11, 2022
